Juliettes or balconettes as they are sometimes called are an extremely cost effective and simple way of enhancing both the appearance and the accommodation of flats and apartments. Usually set in front of inward opening doors they offer a similar benefit to actual balconies at a fraction of the cost.
They are usually constructed from mild steel and designs vary from straightforward spaced vertical bars through to contempory glass panels. They must of course comply with applicable regulations including those regarding height, strength and non climbability. Fixing details are available for both traditional and timber framed construction.
